Andrew Brett 11 June 2017 - 7 July 2017

We are delighted to be holding Andrew Brett’s first solo exhibition at the Gallery.  His choice of exhibition title and theme ‘Colour Earth’, perfectly reflects his intense engagement with the visible world and his recent reconnection with the natural landscape. 

Brett's use of heavy impasto creates an almost sculptural quality combined with multiple layers of paint add to their three-dimensional effect.  To him they are a labour of love made for pleasure not reward.  Complex and exciting, Andrew has succeeded in harnessing the art of balance and harmony.
