Simon Palmer

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Simon Palmer (b. 1956), born in Yorkshire, has exhibited extensively since 1980, having graduated from art school in 1977. During an illustrious career, he has held ten solo exhibitions with JHW Fine Art in London, and since 2015 has been represented by Portland Gallery, London, in co-operation with JHW Fine Art.

Further accolades include a retrospective, Territories of the Imagination, held in 2004 at the Mercer Gallery, Harrogate, receiving the Turner/Winsor & Newton Watercolour Award at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 2007 and being made an honorary member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour. Simon has also exhibited with the National Trust, Crane Kalman Gallery, Bohun Gallery, the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, and Glyndebourne, and his work is held in numerous public and private collections around the world.
