Chris Thomas

Since studying Fine Art at Reading University in the 1960s, Chris Thomas has been living and working in a small cottage on the north Cornish coast, and gaining an enviable reputation as a leading figure and landscape painter. Inspired by the rugged coast on his doorstep and nearby Bodmin Moor, he works in heavy impasto with a direct life-affirming energy, creating work of great vitality and force. His painting is uncompromising in that it does not bow to fashion, his commitment to his craft unwavering.
