Caroline Bays

Caroline attended Roehampton University, Epsom School of Art & Design and Farnham School of Art & Design. She paints almost exclusively in oils, bringing a fresh eye to the various subjects she undertakes, including still life, portraits, nudes and landscapes. Her work is distinguished by a calm meditative quality, and although echoing the work of 20th century painters as diverse as Euan Uglow, Lucian Freud and Mary Fedden, it is entirely her own, in form and detail.

Caroline is a member of the Pastel Society and in 2015 won the Conte a Paris Award at ‘The Pastel Society’ Exhibition for her portrait drawing – ‘Rock Star’ (charcoal). Her work is widely exhibited in solo and group exhibitions.
