Bryan B. Kelly was born and educated in County Clare in Southern Ireland and studied Garment Technology and Textiles at Leeds University.
Bryan held his first solo exhibition in Wexford, Ireland in 2007. In the same year he was invited by the World-renowned Artist’s Village Project in Cill Rillaig County Kerry Ireland to attend a month’s residency.
In 2017 Bryan's painting titled 'The Red House' won first prize in The Rugby Gallery annual 'Open' Exhibition, and in the same year his painting titled ‘The Fall’ was selected by Grayson Perry to be exhibited in the now famous 'Yellow Room', in The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
Bryan describes his painting style as ‘Modern Naïve’ and says '… my pictures allow both me, and the viewer, a chance to escape reality and maybe take us on a journey back to happy childhood memories’.
Bryan works from his studio in The East Lodge, Jephson’s Gardens in Royal Leamington Spa.
